Quoteable Quotes on why our
Donors Give Financially to WTRH Over the years, we have asked many of our donors why they have given to Women’s Triangle Recovery House. Their responses are honest and are shared below:
“Someone on your BOD asked me to give, and I wanted to help that person. If she hadn’t of asked, I wouldn’t probably have even known about WTRH. I trusted her integrity.” “After your Annual Dinner, I felt emotionally moved by one of your resident’s testimony. She reminded me of the overcomer I want to be. We have different issues, but her desire to be better is what really caught my attention. I’m giving to anonymously honor her.” “I want to feel I’m not powerless in the face of other’s need to overcome addictions. When I feel the call to give, it makes me feel like I am really helping.” “I want to feel I’m supporting someone’s life to be better. I never got this kind of support as a youth. I’m not going to make the same mistake.” “I feel a sense of closeness to a Women’s Triangle Recovery House. It’s not because I volunteer or anything, but I can relate because of my own history with addiction.” “I want to memorialize someone in my family who died because of an overdose. I want to help because losing (this person) still really hurts. I don’t want others to have to experience this hurt.” “I was raised to give to charity—it’s tradition in my family.” “I’m a sap for many good causes. But when I came here and saw the literal rooms of the house, I was sold. Home is where the heart is. You can touch the heart of this organization. It’s in the walls and in the floor.” “I want to have a good image for my company. That’s why we give corporate dollars. It’s also good for our employees to see us leading from the top down.” “I want to leave a legacy that perpetuates me, and I have a personal tie to your organization.” “I feel fortunate and want to give something back to others. I’m glad you spend our dollars wisely.” “I give for religious reasons—my faith teaches me to help others.” |
